The court in Athens acquitted a journalist who wrote a book about the Holy Fire - 1

An Athens court acquitted the journalist Dimitris Alikakos, who in 2019 wrote a book about the Holy Fire, which the Jerusalem Patriarchate called blasphemy, the Greek portal reported < span>avgi.gr.

According to him, the three-judge court in Athens acquitted Alikakos and the manager of the Ekkremes publishing house, after a lawsuit brought against them by Archbishop Constantinos Aristarchus and Archbishop Isidore of Hierapolis “for continuous defamation in the press, violation of privacy life and violation of the law on personal data“. The reason for the filing of the case were allegations that the journalist included in his book "Salvation - about the holy fire", published five years ago. From what has been written, it follows that the ceremony of the descent of the Holy Fire into the Church of the Holy Sepulcher is not supposed to be a miracle, but a product of human intervention.

The grace fire descended on Holy Saturday on the eve of Easter in the Aedicula – chapel in the center of the “Resurrection of Christ“ (Church of the Holy Sepulcher) in Jerusalem. A part of the Grace Fire was handed over to representatives of the delegation of the foundation "St. Andrei Parvozvani" (FAP) in Jerusalem; the lamp will be delivered to the Russian Federation on May 4, the FAP press service announced.
